Need to get some words in? The Weekend Writing Marathon (WWM) is a writing challenge designed to help you do just that. You set your own writing goal for the weekend and work to achieve it before reporting back to the group on Sunday night.

How do I participate?

1. Reply to this post with your weekend writing plans–be as specific (or not) as you’d like.

2. Start writing on Friday 12:01 am local time. Work to meet your goal by Sunday night at 11:59 pm local time. You can work on whatever you want during this time.

3. Post your accomplishments to the Finish Line post at the end of the weekend (even if you didn’t reach your goal).

How do I report my accomplishments?

A Finish Line post will go up on Sunday. Reblog that post with your final word count/accomplished goal(s) by Monday at midnight local time. Totals from the weekend will be posted on Tuesday.

Into the Split: Revolution 1 by tryslora

Original Fiction (Welcome to PHU) || Seth/Nikolai (M/M) || Teen & up || Author chooses not to give major warnings || 2,283 / 128,203 words || WIP

Summary: Pawel wavers as he stands next to the table, one hand out, fingers spread against the wood to help balance himself. His scruff is thick and ragged, his hair unkempt. Dark circles beneath his eyes  stand out against the paleness of his skin, and the moles on his face are stark circles. It’s easy to see there is also a faint scatter of freckles between the moles, normally too faint to be seen when his skin has a healthy color.

Summary: Monday dawns with perfect spring weather. It’s warm enough that Nikolai doesn’t need more than a t-shirt, and as he and Seth walk to Teas Please, they see several PHU students in shorts, sundresses, and sandals. The combination of Spring Festival Week and the good weather lends an air of celebration to campus and the surrounding homes.

Summary: Nikolai isn’t sure when Pawel last slept. They left Haverhill on Sunday; Pawel was still up that night when Nikolai went to bed, and sitting at the same spot at the kitchen table Monday morning as well. He’s eaten whatever they set near him, including the food they brought from Teas Please Monday night, but Nikolai isn’t sure he’s doing much else.
